23 December 2017Elgin Volkswagen is a stand alone VW dealer.  This translates to a total focus and service on VW.  When I entered, I met Jeff Gossage who was a no pressure and well informed sales professional.  I had what seemed to be a difficult situation, viz. getting out of a current lease and then leasing another VW.  It was seamlessly done and I got the exact 2017 VW Golf Alltrack with the exact options I wanted.

Fantastic service and attention!  From the beginning of sales (Shawn), to the personal attention (GM -Rick), to the final process (Finance - John), we could not have been more pleased with Elgin Volkswagen.  If you are in the market for a car, this is the final destination. One other note:  Shawn was HIGHLY knowledgable of the inner-workings of the car.  He spent a lot of time going over all the features and got us set up before we drove away.  Thank you again, Shawn!

My beloved 2009 VW Rabbit was totaled a couple weeks ago by a distracted driver. I needed a new car quickly, and as the GTI was my attainable dream car (versus unattainable like say, an Audi RS 7 or R8), I looked at used GTI models in the area. But it wasn't long before my husband found a new 2017 GTI for an amazing price at Elgin VW.Elgin isn't close to where I live and I didn't have time to go there during the week, but Sandy (our first contact at Elgin VW) never pressured us to come in ASAP like most other dealerships did. She was also willing to discuss the price and details of the car over email, which *many* other dealerships wouldn't do. (Pro tip for dealerships: telling potential customers to "come in and talk", and ignoring their questions, when they email you is a huge turnoff. It's the digital age so get with the times!) Sandy doesn't work on Saturdays so Jeff G. took over for her when we saw the car and he was also very nice and accommodating. Finance manager Daniel B. was also a pleasure to work with. He tried to sell us on an extended warranty but wasn't pushy about it, and I know it's just a part of his job.I have no idea what Elgin VW is like on the service side but the sales department provided a wonderful experience, overall!

Very impressed not only with the level of service they provided but the quality of product they delivered.  The sales manager Marco was very professional and his entire staff was warm and friendly.  I could not find a better deal within 500 plus miles and was just blow away by this dealership.  Their dealership was clean and everyone seemed happy to be there.  I will buy from them again and recommend anyone looking for a car to check them out.

This is the second time in 2 years that I had to purchase a new car, so I feel like I've had enough experiences to give a fair Yelp review. Our 2015 Kia was totaled recently after a teenage boy hit us, so we were suddenly in a market for a new car. We hit up a couple of different dealerships to test out the 2016 VW GTI and compare pricing. The first quote I got was from Elgin VW. It was a very competitive price, but I wanted to give the VW dealership in Schaumburg a chance to beat it. When they were not able to beat the price, they used questionable tactics to try to make the sale. I made my way back to Elgin VW and purchased the car for a great price at a great rate. Marco and Jeff were great and it's a beautiful dealership to boot!

Jeff was an easy and helpful salesman to work with.  I was able to bring my mechanic in to check the vehicle out and they were kind enough to put it up on a lift with no problems.  Everything checked out and we ended up buying the vehicle.  So far so good, no problems with the car.  I will recommend this dealership to friends and family looking for a new vehicle.

Did my first service on my Volkswagen at Elgin VW. Maria took care of me and made sure everything was quick. I love the bath they gave the car it was much appreciated. I will be doing all my service at Elgin VW.

Ask for Chris Brush, he is the best! He is amazing and makes the process really smooth. He goes above and beyond for his customers and tries to help as much as possible. They were efficient but also made sure that everything was covered at the best price in Chicagoland! You brace yourself going into a car dealer. service was good as ever. I do not understand why we are charged for a new drain plug each oil change? also we were charged for 6-1/2 quarts of oil. the owner's manual does not show that much oil capacity. I do appreciated the service rep. finding us a $15 coupon while we had found and printed out a $10 coupon. it was still over $100 for an oil and filter change on a 2017 Golf.

Bought a nice pre-owned 2018 Ford Fusion SE for $2,120 below the CarFax value from this place. My salesperson was Ricky who was great to work with and did everything he could to help me out. I recommend him if you are looking for a good car-buying experience. I've been enjoying the car so far.

Customer service and customer care was next level! Larry was extremely helpful and patient. He was able to accommodate my vehicle maintenance schedule in a timely manner. There're places that you wish you could give less then Zero Stars, and there're also places that you wish you could give them 100 Stars. Well Elgin Volkswagen is one of those places that I wish I could give 100 stars. Everyone is Friendly Kind and Professional and they know their business inside out. Their prices are much better then your neighborhood mechanic. I have a new car and I deal with Service, Alex and everyone in that department are the best at what they do. We arrived around a quarter past seven and were greeted by Marcos as soon as we entered. He was our salesperson for the evening. After introducing himself, he asked what we came in for. I explained we came to see a used 2017 VW Jetta. After clarification on which one in particular, he took us to his desk and we sat down so he could photocopy my driver's license. Shortly after that he came back and had the car prepared for a test drive. We went on the drive and everything went smoothly. He encouraged me to open up the car a bit more once we were on a road more suitable to that kind of driving. All standard car-showing stuff. Afterward we sat down to discuss the price and any additional fees. Most of the standard fee stuff was there. We negotiated on one of the fees and on the price itself. Marcos discussed it with his manager, came back and it was close to what I was looking for. After some hemming and hawing I went ahead with the agreed upon price and we had the financing to get done. The initial rate was too high for my blood but they were able to knock it down a few points to something more reasonable. The finance manager Rayan was very straight-forward and did his best to get me a good rate and to explain everything. It was very step-by-step. After signing all the required documents I received the keys and a copy of all the paperwork. We left a bit after closing but they were patient and closed out the sale. Marcos and Rayan did very well for us and I am satisfied with their efforts. Thanks Elgin VW!
