23 December 2017Elgin Volkswagen is a stand alone VW dealer.  This translates to a total focus and service on VW.  When I entered, I met Jeff Gossage who was a no pressure and well informed sales professional.  I had what seemed to be a difficult situation, viz. getting out of a current lease and then leasing another VW.  It was seamlessly done and I got the exact 2017 VW Golf Alltrack with the exact options I wanted.

Fantastic service and attention!  From the beginning of sales (Shawn), to the personal attention (GM -Rick), to the final process (Finance - John), we could not have been more pleased with Elgin Volkswagen.  If you are in the market for a car, this is the final destination. One other note:  Shawn was HIGHLY knowledgable of the inner-workings of the car.  He spent a lot of time going over all the features and got us set up before we drove away.  Thank you again, Shawn!

My beloved 2009 VW Rabbit was totaled a couple weeks ago by a distracted driver. I needed a new car quickly, and as the GTI was my attainable dream car (versus unattainable like say, an Audi RS 7 or R8), I looked at used GTI models in the area. But it wasn't long before my husband found a new 2017 GTI for an amazing price at Elgin VW.Elgin isn't close to where I live and I didn't have time to go there during the week, but Sandy (our first contact at Elgin VW) never pressured us to come in ASAP like most other dealerships did. She was also willing to discuss the price and details of the car over email, which *many* other dealerships wouldn't do. (Pro tip for dealerships: telling potential customers to "come in and talk", and ignoring their questions, when they email you is a huge turnoff. It's the digital age so get with the times!) Sandy doesn't work on Saturdays so Jeff G. took over for her when we saw the car and he was also very nice and accommodating. Finance manager Daniel B. was also a pleasure to work with. He tried to sell us on an extended warranty but wasn't pushy about it, and I know it's just a part of his job.I have no idea what Elgin VW is like on the service side but the sales department provided a wonderful experience, overall!

Very impressed not only with the level of service they provided but the quality of product they delivered.  The sales manager Marco was very professional and his entire staff was warm and friendly.  I could not find a better deal within 500 plus miles and was just blow away by this dealership.  Their dealership was clean and everyone seemed happy to be there.  I will buy from them again and recommend anyone looking for a car to check them out.

This is the second time in 2 years that I had to purchase a new car, so I feel like I've had enough experiences to give a fair Yelp review. Our 2015 Kia was totaled recently after a teenage boy hit us, so we were suddenly in a market for a new car. We hit up a couple of different dealerships to test out the 2016 VW GTI and compare pricing. The first quote I got was from Elgin VW. It was a very competitive price, but I wanted to give the VW dealership in Schaumburg a chance to beat it. When they were not able to beat the price, they used questionable tactics to try to make the sale. I made my way back to Elgin VW and purchased the car for a great price at a great rate. Marco and Jeff were great and it's a beautiful dealership to boot!

Jeff was an easy and helpful salesman to work with.  I was able to bring my mechanic in to check the vehicle out and they were kind enough to put it up on a lift with no problems.  Everything checked out and we ended up buying the vehicle.  So far so good, no problems with the car.  I will recommend this dealership to friends and family looking for a new vehicle.

Salesperson (Humberto) was very courteous, not pushy at all. We haven't made our decision yet but they were very friendly and accommodating. My wife left her phone in a car there and they had it waiting for us at the front desk. Really good people.

Spoke to Maria over the phone, she was sweet, down to earth and very informative about the car we inquired about. Although we did not get our car through Elgin Volkswagen, I would recommend their business based on the high quality of customer service she delivered. She was a breath of fresh air in the stressful car buying world.

I visited Elgin Volkswagen few days ago and came away very impressed. I have been to a lot of different dealerships in my lifetime but I felt Elgin Volkswagen was as nice as any I have been to in many years. Even after I told the sales person I was just gathering some information, he still showed me all the details and demonstrated exactly how each part of the vehicle worked. I had called about whether they had the model I was interested in. They told me they did and even had it cleaned up and on the floor for me to check out. I feel they went above what one would expect, knowing I was not going to buy a car that day. The salesperson was very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. I was very impressed with the personal touch and attention to my wishes during my new car buying experience at VW Elgin on 9/30/16. My sales person (Steve Vlagos) was super polite and really took his time to ensure I was 100% satisfied. The management & finance staff was also exceptional. I highly recommend doing your purchase of a new vehicle with VW Elgin. Clean facility, helpful staff and an easy transaction.
