Where's the responsibility here? The financial department really needs to step up their game. My car was totaled, and my bank asked for a warranty refund to close the gap insurance claim. I got a quote for the cancellation warranty back on April 7th, but it still hasn't been processed, and I haven't heard any updates. It's so hard to get in touch with them. We were thinking about getting another VW, but after all this, no way!

It’s a $50 part. Stay far are from this dealership!!!!!! What kind of service manager looses a customer over a $50 part. Very disappointed with Elgin Volkswagen. My 19 year old daughter was purchasing her first car. Printed out a break down of the price and we negotiated a price we thought was fair. The breakdown included tax, title, registration. After everything was signed and we went home I started having a nagging feeling about some comments made by the guy we filled paperwork out with. I am writing to share my recent positive experience purchasing a used vehicle from Elgin VW. It was truly the best experience I have had in a long time. Having purchased six vehicles in the past 20 years, I can confidently say that this was the most streamlined process from my initial contact with Brittany to closing the deal with George (Jorge), Joe, and the financial team. Five stars all around for Elgin VW!
I was shopping around for the best price on a used Atlas and came across one at Elgin Volkswagen that was cheaper than any other Atlas I saw online. I was a little skeptical because the price was so low, but when I went to the dealership a manager named Tom helped me through the process and made it very easy. So far I'm very happy with my Atlas!
Worst experience ever. Very deceptive. Refusing to give me access to my own service records. They claim to have done 2 separate multipoint inspections according to my invoices.. They claim the records are no longer available once the job is closed out. I did however get a copy of someone else's. GM claimed he would get to the bottom of this. NEVER called me back. Stay away from this deceitful dealership and service center.
We went in to buy a Jetta and was lied to by Adnan. The anti theft fee is NOT mandatory at every car dealership. We just bought a brand new Jetta without it. If u want honesty and genuine attitude please run from this dealership and go to Volkswagen in Crystal Lake
I was literally waiting with check-book in hand when the sales manager Suha Oner tried to slide in $400 fee for some type of ant-theft insurance. I refused to pay for it because I didn't want it and didn't ask for it. Oner refused to sell me the car because I wouldn't pay for his pure profit play. I feel bad for the sales person because his boss lost him an easy comission. Stay away until Suha Oner is gone!

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. The sales staff I worked with were very nice. I was purchasing a vehicle with 22 miles on it, it was sitting on the showroom floor. Drove almost an hour away here to possibly trade in my lease early and to test drive a used car. Dishonest service department and dealer. Issued me a diesel gate credit of $500.00 and after using approximately $200.00 of it as recently as 2020 refused to honor the credit. Every time I have had my car there for oil changes there has been a problem. Missing screws, rags left in the engine bay, Etc. I highly recommend avoiding this service department and based on this issue probably the dealer in general.
I had 9:00am appointment for an oil change, alignment check, and front tire balancing. My service writer reached out before my appointment to ask if I’m able to drop off the car because they were down a technician. I did not have the option of dropping it off and had to wait. I was looking to lease a new 2018 VW Tiguan SEL 4Motion.. Made and appointment to discuss doing this at Elgin Volkswagen. Two hours later, the transaction was completed to my satisfaction. I got the vehicle I wanted and was able to easily turn in me existing leased VW. The showroom was great, the sales consultant and sales manager were great, and the overall experience was exceptional. I didn't ask about the dealerships community outreach program but noticed that the staff at the dealership was diverse which is a plus.
