First, the ID. BUZZ draws inspiration from the classic Type 2 microbus popularized in the 1960s. That camper vehicle was unlike anything else on the road and spawned a following that’s interwoven with that era’s hippie movement. In designing the ID. BUZZ, Volkswagen carefully brought forth the original’s styling cues and wrapped it in a modern design.

Second, power meets range to deliver an environmentally responsible vehicle. The original microbus was prized for its efficiency, although its 48-horsepower engine was woefully underpowered. For the new model, Volkswagen dispensed with the gas engine, outfitting the ID. BUZZ with an all-electric drivetrain. There are zero emissions and at least 282 horsepower on tap. Moreover, this Volkswagen travels up to 250 miles on a single charge with quick recharges possible thanks to DC fast-charging.  

Third, versatility is here. Today’s minivans are prized for their versatility. Volkswagen builds on that by tapping several of the microbus’ key attributes, including fold-flat second and third row seats. With the seats folded, you’ll have a comfortable stay wherever you go and an amazing view of the Milky Way thanks to the standard all-glass roof. And during the day, you control the roof’s opacity, ensuring that only the amount of sunlight you want, enters in.

The VW ID. BUZZ comes chock full of the latest technologies, covering in-cabin amenities as well as driver-assist equipment. Inside, you’ll find:
